I arrived at work this Friday morning to see a great sky.
This is something I am not used to seeing in the morning. After 13 years of working 2nd shift, I am now working daylight. So while I've seen many great sunsets over the years, sunrises have been quite rare.
I also have to get used to seeing the moon differently. I had a pretty good view of it this morning.
Great clouds and colors in the sky this morning.
My shop hosted a lunch cookout today. This is something we do with regularity for a variety of occasions.
Today's cookout was for Paul and David.
It was Kenny's turn to stand behind the grill today.
James made ice cream.
Melanie ordered a large cake for dessert.
The shop was filled with the aroma of grilled burgers, hot dogs, and flat irons.
Today's cookout was for Paul and David.
Paul is celebrating his last day with us before heading to University Housing, and David is retiring.
We all had to gather around to oogle the cake for a few minutes.
But then we realized that we had to have lunch first before we could have dessert.
Felicia and Melanie.
A good picture of Felicia and Melanie.
Felicia says the blessing.
Time to eat !
So let it be written, so let it be done. And a good feast was had by all.
We wished Paul and David the best of luck with wherever life takes them from here. In Paul's case, that will be across campus. David, however, will be enjoying his retirement.
