My shop always jumps at the chance to hold a cookout, and doesn't need to be "convinced" to do so. After a couple of years with us, technician TJ is moving on. So, just like we did for Wendel back in July, we fired up the grill for TJ today.

The usual fare of burgers, hot dogs, and seasoned flat irons was on the menu for today. Grill Master Paul put the flat irons on first because they take the longest to cook.

While the food was cooking, the tables and chairs came out of storage and got a good cleaning.

With the flat irons done, it was time for the burgers and hot dogs. A slight breeze started to blow things around in the shop, causing Paul to put the door down.

But with the doors down, the shop began to fill with smoke. Even though it was wonderful smelling smoke, it was still smoke, nonetheless.

Eventually, the doors had to go up again, which was fine.

With the tables cleaned and put into position, it was time to set up the buffet line.

Two of the flat irons had a good "kick" to them, which was greatly appreciated.

After lunch, we had a sweet dessert to look forward to.

TJ came to us from the local Dodge dealer. Immediately, the rest of us, (who came from Ford dealerships), were very excited about this because that meant we may not have to work on Mopar products as often.

Bill says a few words.

The customary "Good Luck" card was present and accounted for.

Then it was time to tear into the dessert.

Today's dessert was a simple, but effective cake.

After a good meal, it was time to get back to work.

Although, as usual with our cookouts, there is no guarantee how much "work" will actually get done after this.

But we'll give it our best shot and see what happens.
