A Dodge Caravan, 94212, was towed in for a dead battery. This is something that happens all the time around here. But we soon learned that this tow-in came with a surprise.

A snake skin is visible on top of the intake manifold in the photo above.

What's that in the corner under the cowl ?

Oh my ! We appear to have a stowaway.

I know nothing about snakes. But I was told that this looks like a copperhead. But I do know two things: a) This guy was very much alive, and b) there were TWO snakes under there somewhere.

Another long snake skin sat along the right fender.

I was only able to see one of the snakes.

Shortly after these pics were take, the snake retreated to somewhere near the right inner splash shield.

We put the van in the bone yard until someone who knows how to deal with snakes can be called to get them out.

Hopefully, we can get the two stowaways out of there.
