We had a tornado warning at work this evening.
Thunderstorms were in the forecast originally.
A tornado warning was issued for Clarke County.
We gathered outside to check out the threatening skies.
Even though the skies looked pretty intense, there was no rain in our area yet.
Skies were mostly clear earlier in the evening.
The remains of that clearing could be seen off in the distance to the east.
Clearing off in the distance to the east.
Clearing that was overhead earlier in the evening.
All clearing had disappeared as the storms approached from the west.
Threatening skies off to the west.
We had wind and thunder, but no rain yet.
I did what I usually do during a tornado warning and broke out the camera and started shooting.
My camera isn't happy in low light conditions.
I did the best I could do with what I had to work with.
This gave me good practice playing with the manual controls.
The pictures didn't turn out too bad.
Looking east.
Looking south.
As expected, the skies eventually opened up.
It actually rained pretty hard for a brief period of time.
Heavy rain for a brief period of time.
Heavy rain.
An interesting perspective shot through the heavy rain.
Eventually, the rain stopped.
The tornado warning was lifted shortly thereafter.
