A Ford F350 arrived at the shop today for its regular maintenance. We were also asked to replace the trailer connector. Someone backed the truck into something that smashed the connector into the trailer hitch.

The impact mangled the connector bracket.

One of the bracket mounting holes was damaged.

The biggest issue was that of the connector, itself. The impact sandwiched the connector in between the bracket and the hitch and destroyed everything.

Many of the large trucks in our fleet are used for towing. We keep trailer connectors in stock for this reason.
