Two days ago, thunderstorms rolled through Athens and caused a tree to fall onto a truck on campus. More storms rolled in during this afternoon.

The daily weather forecast during the summer months almost always involves the chance for a thunderstorm.

On this day, the forecasters were right.

The skies became cloudy and dark. Thunder, lightning, and heavy rain soon followed.

After a brief period of time, the rain quit and the sun came back out again, just like it usually does.
