The possibility of severe thunderstorms was in the forecast for this evening while I was at work. It wasn't bad at all when I arrived.

By 5:30 PM, the sky was beginning to darken.

The dark clouds began to roll in around 5:30 PM.

Something was at least threatening to come my way.

By 5:45 PM, it had started to get noticeably darker.

Much darker by 5:45 PM.

The sky was even darker 15 minutes later.

The increase in darkness was accompanied by an increase in the wind.

The funny thing is that all it did on this evening was threaten.

It got dark and windy, and a few raindrops fell from the sky. But that was it. Mother Nature only threatened tonight.
