On this evening, I was working, minding my own business, and needed to get my air hose. To my surprise, I found someone using it as a rest stop.
I don't know what this is other than some form of giant moth. But he decided he needed to take a breather from his usual activities and chose my air hose.
I grabbed the camera and started playing with the "macro" setting once again.
The pics actually turned out better than I expected.
I soon discovered that using a flash was counterproductive. At this distance, the lens was closer to the object than the flash which made for a dark and strangely lit picture.
He hung around on my air hose for a while and didn't seem to be bothered by the paparazzi taking his picture.
More strange lighting effects caused by the flash.
Night Foreman Larry came out of his office and saw me playing with the camera and offered to hold the air hose horizontally so I could try and get a better picture.
With Larry holding the hose, I was able to get a couple of good shots.
Surprisingly, the moth didn't seem to be bothered by this at all.
