My wife and I moved from Altoona, Pennsylvania to Columbia, Missouri in June 2003 for her stint at graduate school at Mizzou. The experience I gained working at Bedford Ford allowed me to get a job as a Service Technician at Joe Machens Ford in Columbia.

Joe Machens Ford is the highest volume new car dealer in the state of Missouri regardless of brands. We sell more new Fords than not only any other Ford dealer, but any other new car dealership regardless of the brand.

Being the largest volume dealer in the state, Machens had an enormous Service Department.

I became one of the 37 technicians in the Service Department.

I settled into my temporary home on the Service Lane side of the shop.

This is the largest Service Department I've seen in my brief career.

Not only were there technicians next to me, there was a whole other part of the shop on the other side of the wall.
