  • This is a 1960 Cadillac Sedan de Ville 4-window sedan. This is a relatively rare car, being one of 9,225 produced that year. The asking price of $5,195 was a downright bargain, especially if the "98 percent restored" comment was correct. As you can probably guess, I was drooling over this car !

  • The Series 62 and deVille sedans were available in two configurations - a 6-window sedan and a 4-window sedan. The 6-window cars featured three windows on each side, (two door windows and a smaller rear quarter window), along with a sloping back window. The 4-window cars featured two windows on each side and a wrap-around rear window. This car is the much rarer 4-window sedan.

  • Our journey then took us to Eman Motor Company, a small car lot in the town of Boonville, Missouri, (home of the Isle of Capri Casino and one of our favorite buffets !). This lot was filled with numerous old car projects in various conditions. The 1969 Lincoln Mark III looked to be quite nice.

  • I had a 1969 Lincoln Mark III in the 1990s. But mine wasn't nearly as nice as this car !

  • This Lincoln Mark V (R) looked like it had been sitting in the same spot for a while and needed a lot of work. The 1973 Buick Electra (L) looked only marginally better.
