  • Erskine was an entry-level companion make for Studebaker from 1927 - 30.  The name "Erskine" is a reference to Albert R. Erskine who was the president of Studebaker at that time.

But by 1903 they had become a very successful supplier for Ford.  At one point, John Dodge became vice president of Ford Motor Company.  But in 1914, the Dodge Brothers left Ford and began building vehicles under their own name.  Dodge Brothers became part of the Chrysler Corporation in 1928.
