General Motors used the term "Bubble Top" to describe the styling trend that featured a curved windshield and rear window, a sweeping roofline, and a thin C-Pillar.

1968 Chevrolet Caprice 427.

The Caprice was the upscale version of the full-sized Chevrolet. But even so, it could be equipped with a big-block, in this case the RPO L36 427 CID V8 that made 385 hp.

Unfortunately, specific production breakdowns by model and engine combinations aren't available. But records show that a total of 4,071 full-size Chevrolets, (Biscayne, Bel Air, Impala, and Caprice), were equipped with the RPO L36 big-block in 1968, making this car quite rare.

This is actually an extremely rare car. Only 320 were produced in 1994 with 195 of them being left-hand drive.

The asking price of $25,900 actually makes this rare car "affordable" in the grand scheme of 21st century car buying. But that illusion would disappear the moment you need to buy ANY part.

This car has the seldom seen combination of extremely low miles, (only 3,800), and a heavily modified drivetrain.

The original 383 CID V8 now displaces 496 cubes and makes 625 hp.

Even more impressive was that fact that this is a 19k original mile car, which makes the $14,900 asking price seem decent.

The 5th Generation Thunderbird was produced from 1967 - 1971. The unique feature for this generation was that it was now available with 4 doors. The "suicide door" Thunderbirds are quite rare. This car is one of 8,401 made that year.

Motivation comes from Ford's 429 CID V8 that makes 360 hp.

This car is equipped with Ford's 260 CID V8 that makes 164 hp. That may not sound like much until you realize that the car weighs less than 3,000 pounds. On paper, acceleration seems like it would be brisk.

I couldn't find an asking price. But I could see the 390 CID V8 that would make either 300 or 330 hp.

2006 Campagna T-Rex three-wheeler, asking $45,000.

The T-Rex is a three-wheeler powered by a motorcycle engine. As near as I can determine, the 2006 version was powered by a 1.2L I4 from the Kawasaki ZX-12R that made 178 hp. In a vehicle that weighs less than 1,000 pounds, that would make for some thrilling acceleration.

I spotted a pair of beautiful 1966 Ford Thunderbirds. The asking price for the red car seen in the photos above and below was $11,900.
