  • I am always on the lookout for old cars. Each time I would spot one on the side of the road, whether at a dealership, repair garage, or private residence, I would always make a point to glance at that same place every time I would pass by it in the future. On this day, I spotted a stunning 1960 Cadillac Series 62 Coupe sitting at a car lot at the Foristell exit of I-70 near Wentzville, Missouri. This looked like a traditional used car lot that happened to have an old car sitting in front of the building one afternoon.

  • I never did inquire about the asking price, which was probably a good thing.

  • Even back then, I could assume that it was unaffordable.

  • And even if it would have been affordable, my wife would have made me sleep in it if I brought it home.

  • I spotted this 1966 Ford Thunderbird for "sail" a little further up the road at the Truxton exit off of I-70 near Warrenton, Missouri.

  • Like the lot seen above in Foristell, this place sits next to the interstate where the old cars would catch my eye.
