From the Ford Performance Driving School rides, I headed back toward the infield and passed by the Yamaha Twinstunts motorcycle stunt team, whose show had just started. I'm not familiar with them, but had been seeing the signs promoting their appearance and stopped to check them out.

The team consists of twin brothers Shannon and Sawyer Schmidtman, hence the name "Twinstunts".

Their team is a Yahama factory sponsored thrill show that appears at events all across the country. All of the expected items associated with a motorcycle thrill show - wheelies, burnouts, synchronized tricks, etc. - are present and accounted for.

In addition to the traveling show, Twinstunts has an actual shop that offers upgrade parts for Yamaha motorcycles.

The show had just started when I arrived. I parked myself at one of the tire piles and started shooting. Just like what I did at the Ford Performance Driving School, I pointed the camera and held down the shutter button which rattled off a whole bunch of pictures at once.

Shannon Schmidtman was on the course when I arrived. According to one source I examined, Shannon is the younger of the twins by a mere two hours.

Shannon's ride for this show was a Yamaha MT-07.

I believe the smoke seen in the pics above and below is from Shannon being on the rear brakes. I say "brakes" because I think I see two brake calipers on the rear wheel.
