  • After checking out the Showcase Pavilions, I noticed that the rain seemed to have stopped.  I headed back outside to see what I could see.  The Cobra and GT40 replicas at the Downforce Motorsports trailer seen in the photos above and below immediately got my attention.

  • Superformance is one of the top names in the Cobra replica business, and has been around for a while.  The specs on this car are pretty impressive.  For $118,500, you get a Cobra S/C replica powered by a 427 CID Small Block V8 that makes 520 hp.

This car, chassis # P2415, is a tribute to original Mk II chassis # P1015 driven by Ken Miles and Lloyd Rudy in the 1966 24 Hours of Daytona.  In this case, the "24" is a reference to the 24 hour race at Daytona, which Miles & Rudy won, and "15" is a reference to their chassis # P1015.

  • The reflection seen in the photo above has baffled me since I saw it.  I can't figure out where Batman is coming from.  I would guess that it's from the chrome around the pad on the running board.  But I don't know because that reflection is also visible in the side of the car.  Very strange.

  • This van has been heavily modified.  The original 4.3L V6 has been replaced with a twin turbo 383 Stroker that makes 479 hp at the rear wheels.  But even with all the mods, it still has "ice cold a/c."
