The problem with this spot is that, even though the fence isn't in the way, other things are.

Not too bad.

I needed to move to a location that didn't have so much stuff in the way, and found it on top of one of the small hills on the other end of the infield road course.

This vantage point is almost 180 degrees from where I started on the track, and offered a great view of just about everywhere.

Starting into a slight drift.

The key here is "slight" drift.

I noticed that some passes featured a lot of drift, and others not so much. Maybe that depended on the passenger's reaction.
