  • June 6, 2003:  Today was my last day at work at Bedford Ford Lincoln Mercury.  My wife and I would be moving to Columbia, Missouri the following week so she could begin her graduate school adventure.  The Caddy would not be making the journey with us.

  • I bought the 24k original mile Coupe de Ville in May 2000.  Three years and 61k miles later, a number of minor issues had arisen.  The car still ran well and was wonderful to drive on the highway.  But the whole Bambi incident from the previous winter made us decide to sell it before we moved.  And I had the perfect person in mind.

  • My coworker Gus McFarland decided he would love to have the Caddy as a project.  I sold it to him on my last day at work.

  • The Caddy performed beautifully during my three years of ownership.  The HT4100 "Hit & Miss" engine, (i.e. getting a good one was a hit or miss proposition), made lots of threatening noises, but never let me down.
