Mar 13, 1993: Snowstorm aftermath . . .
Read MoreThe snowstorm that hit the entire east coast of the US on March 13, 1993 dropped about 2 feet of snow in the Altoona, Pennsylvania area. This storm has become known as the "Blizzard of '93" and "The Storm of the Century." Some places in the northeast part of PA near the Poconos were hammered with almost 4 feet !
All of the snow in the driveway was shoveled by hand, (the driveway was gravel and I didn't have a snowblower). I also had to be creative when shoveling due to the smallish size of my property. Some of the snow could be piled in front of where the cars sat, (out of view to the right in the photo above). But most of it went in my smallish front yard, (partially seen above), and on the other side of the shed. When you have 2 feet of snow to shovel, it piles up fast !
