April 12, 1993: Trading it in . . .
Read MoreIt may not look like it. But this car came a long way over those 4 years. It couldn't be started/driven when I first brought it home in August 1989. I fixed things little by little as my budget and very limited skills would allow. Once it passed PA State Inspection, it settled into daily driver mode.
I was able to fix most of what I encountered in spite of my limited knowledge. More significant issues began to make themselves known, (like rust). A lot of work was soon going to be needed to get the car through State Inspection. I decided to trade it in which made my wife at the time quite happy. She never really understood what I saw in the car. But I loved it and enjoyed my time thoroughly behind the wheel.
