Spring is a wonderful time in northern Georgia ! This is the time when all of the flowering trees wake up for the season. Today seemed like a good day to take the camera with me on a bike ride around the neighborhood to check out the spring colors.
This is one of the centerpieces of the neighborhood. I believe this is some kind of magnolia tree.
I believe this is a loropetalum.
White-flowering trees are common in my neighborhood. I don't know what this beautiful tree is. But my guess is that it's some variety of pear/cherry/apple.
Another flowering pear/cherry/apple tree.
Another beautiful white flowering tree.
I think this is another loropetalum.
A nearby giant loropetalum.
This loropetalum looked to be 15 feet tall.
More white flowering trees.
I like the way this series of branches hangs over the street.
The blooms on this tree resemble those of a flowering pear tree I have in my front yard.
