The photo above looks through the opening where my lower grill should be.

Even though the forward splash shield was completely gone, it did its job ! The impact didn't damage any of the belts or hoses.

The impact broke the right side of the bumper cover.

Thankfully, I lost no fluids which meant I could continue my journey. The only thing I had to do was buy a roll of duct tape and reattach the broken part of the bumper cover.

I eventually made it to my second overnight stop in Brinkley, Arkansas a little battered and bruised, but fully functional. Today's interesting journey added another 680 miles to the odometer and brought the running total to 4,202 miles over the previous 10 days. Another 500-or-so miles, and I would be home.
