The view looking to the east is more of the same. Although I suspect the lot sizes to significantly increase once you get away from this neighborhood street. Very large ranches that occupy several thousand acres are quite common here. The photo above looks toward a property off in the distance labeled on the map as being more than 7,300 acres !

Either way, the scenery is beautiful here ! I did what I always do and started playing with my zoom lens.

We left the Hayfield Place neighborhood and headed north to check out more local sites. The photos above and below were taken near I-90 by the power plant in Wyodak. Even though we had only traveled 6 miles north, the snow had almost completely disappeared.

I stitched the previous two pics together for a panorama looking east from the power plant in Wyodak.

I noticed a few rail cars on the tracks off in the distance and zoomed in to see what I could see.

The rail cars were loaded with airplanes.

I never really thought about how new planes under construction were transported from place to place.

My guess would be that these planes were on their way to be finished somewhere. But I have no idea for sure.

This would be my last day in Gillette. Over the previous five days, I added 1,001 more miles to the odometer which brings the running total to 2,740 miles over a period of 8 days. Tomorrow would be the start of a three-day journey back to Athens.
