One of the walkways from the Visitor Center to the gardens features a floating globe. The globe floats on the water beneath it and can be spun and rotated.

We headed down the stairs to check out the Herb Garden.

For whatever reason, it never occurred to me to take a picture of the tags for each plant. So I don't know what the plant seen in the photos above and below is other than beautiful.

Next to the Herb Garden was the Physic Garden.

The Physic Garden deals with those plants historically used for medicinal purposes.

I love the way blooming tulips were scattered throughout everything.

We continued wandering around the Physic Garden checking out the flowers.

The Botanical Garden is full of walking trails. We hit the trail that leads to the International Garden and passed by more blooming flowers.

The trail we were on passed by the Bog Garden.

According to the display sign, a bog refers to a place where the soil is continuously moist thanks to a water table level near the surface. The area seen in the photo above is known as the Pitcher Plant Mountain Bog.

We continued our walk through the International Garden.

We spotted a photo shoot in progress. It looked like the photographer was doing her best to get a toddler's attention for pictures.

The plant seen in the photo above looks to be some kind of bamboo. I would imagine that the staff keeps it in check to avoid it taking over everything.

We then made it to the Heritage Garden which features plants significant to Georgia's agricultural history.

I believe the Glory of the Snow plants are those in the photo above with the white star-shaped flowers.
