  • Danita wanted to go to a store in downtown Athens on this early evening.  Normally, I avoid the downtown area because of the crowds.  But since the population density is reduced with the varmints home for the Christmas break, I figured this would be a good opportunity to snap a few pics of the annual light display.

  • Every holiday season, the trees along several blocks of the central downtown area are decorated and lit.  The photos above and below show the intersection of Clayton and N. Lumpkin Streets.

  • Also in my favor was the fact that this was a Monday night, meaning I was able to get a few pics without the traffic mess normally seen downtown.

  • I made my way down Clayton Street to College Avenue and turned toward City Hall, which is always nicely decorated.  The photo above shows the intersection of E. Clayton and College Avenue.
