My wife and I were crossing over Lake Oconee on US Route 278 outside of Madison, Georgia and pulled over to take a few pics of the lake and the old bridge.
The bridge on the left side of the photo above was replaced by the current bridge in 1986.
A portion of the old bridge remains in place and is used as a fishing pier.
The Route 278 bridge crosses over the northern end of Lake Oconee in between Madison and Greensboro.

Lake Oconee is huge and a popular place for fishing and boating.
This boat was particularly fast, which makes sense given the 150 hp outboard motor on the back of it.
I put the camera on something solid and set the self-timer.
