  • A mere 4 days have passed since I took the last set of photos. In some areas of the yard, a lot has happened. In front of the house, however, things are pretty much the same as they were before.

  • The Sweetgum tree, however, is noticeably greener than was seen in the previous entry.

  • Moving out to the azaleas along the driveway, "red" appears to be winning the blooming race, and is significantly ahead of "white."

  • A few more flowers are starting to appear on the next Azalea, (the one from which I removed all the vines).

  • My Dad used to tell me that if you want shrubs like this to grow well, you need to really cut them back. That way, they will grow in thicker next year. In the case of these azaleas, that logic appears to be true.

  • The awakening process in the side yard is getting underway.  It's getting harder to see my neighbor's house, which is the goal of having privacy hedges.

  • The cherry tree at the back corner of the garage is turning white at an accelerated pace.

  • My friend, Heather, gave me a couple of unknown bulb clusters earlier this year. I'm not exactly sure what they are, or what I'm going to do with them. So for the time being, I dug a hole and planted both clumps in the ground in order to keep them alive until I figure something out.

  • I'll have to do some research to find correct way to plant them.

  • Further out in my backyard, some of the trees that bloomed in red last year are doing so again this year.

  • My coworkers have mentioned "redbud" trees before. I appear to have a few in the yard.

  • As I walked around the back of my house to the side yard area opposite from the driveway, I spotted the random azalea bush I noticed last season. It looks pretty healthy. This was a surprise to me last year as I had no idea it was there. It's nice to see it bloom.
