Time to check out some of the fall colors in the yard.
All three Red Fountain grass plants have not only done very well, but are sporting some red plumes.
I don't know if this has anything to do with their "Red" name. But they look great.
I need to see what the straggler at the base of the Frostproof gardenia is. My guess is that it's some kind of weed, but I'm not sure.
The single fall Chinese Snowball bloom is still white.
Chinese Snowball bloom for the fall.
I had two blooms last fall. Curiously, this bloom is in the same spot as last year.
My Viburnum macrocephalum had done very well in this location once it got over the shock of being moved a few years ago.
I think the crape myrtles have finished blooming for the season.
There are a few purple remains still in place, though.
There you are !
I was wondering where all of the Joro spiders have been. I seem to have significantly less webs in the yard this year.
The Monkey grass plants in the porch planters are doing ok, which I would expect. This stuff is pretty hardy.
The other four Monkey grass plants are alive and well. I need to figure out what the iris-like plant is on the bottom left side of the photo above.
I'm still enjoying all of the Pampas grass plumes.
All of the Pampas grass plants look good.
This is the time of year when the Pink Muhly grass starts to turn pink.
The very thin plumes have a pink tint that can be seen in the right light.
All of them have survived and are showing pink plumes.
Pink Muhly grass.
So far, so good for the Mine No Yuki camellias. I added some homemade mulch around the border. These bushes are supposed to bloom in the fall. We'll see what happens.
