More spring cleaning was on the agenda for today. But first, I took my usual stroll around the yard to check things out.

The daffodils have finished blooming for the season. Blooms began opening at the beginning of February and lasted through the middle of March.

It looks like I'll have to prune some of the wild branches on the Reeves Spireas.

All of the transplanted Monkey grass has survived and seems to be growing.

The Goldmound Spirea are beginning to wake up for the season. They have done their thing each year with very little input from me.

The Star Magnolia is making its transition from white to green.

There was, however, one late bloom visible.

I'm seeing white appearing on the Cleveland Select Flowering Pear tree.

This tree has fascinated me ever since I planted it because of the way it grows "upward," but not "outward."

The driveway azaleas are beginning to awaken for the season.

I'm starting to see some red blooms on half of the first azalea cluster next to the street. The red half always wakes up first.

The relocated azalea clump in between the first and second azaleas has survived the winter and is turning green.

The second azalea looks like it's still asleep, until you take a closer look.

I see some red beginning to appear. The funny thing is that the new red is appearing in among the very confused branch that bloomed over the winter.

Nothing happening yet on the third azalea.

The fourth azalea is blooming, like it does every year. It is always the first one to wake up.

I don't know what variety of azalea this is, other than "small." It hasn't grown any larger than this since I first noticed it years ago.

The fifth azalea is showing some red in spots.

The relocated twig in between the fifth and sixth azaleas is green, and appears to be growing.

The sixth Delaware Valley White azalea is still green at the moment.

I see some red on the seventh azalea.

The eighth Korean azalea is confused as usual.

I'm still gathering ideas for what to do with the corner seen in the photo above. But no matter what I decide, I'm going to need some room. Today, I took some time to relocate more daffodils inboard from the corner where I clustered them years ago. I'll also eventually transplant all of the Monkey Grass that is present as well.

Since I'm also thinking about doing something next to the front steps, I also moved the planters that were there onto the front porch, where they were when I moved into this house in 2009.

Part of today's spring cleaning involved pruning the tree at the corner of the house. It was here long before me and has a tendency to grow a little wild. I tried to get it under control today.

All of the pruned branches fit nicely onto my Leaf & Limb pile along with everything else I've been cutting/trimming.

Next up was to mulch the debris on the grass.

I broke out the mower and cleaned up as much as I could.

Once the spring cleaning is finished, I'll get started on the annual mulch project, as soon as someone puts mulch on sale.

But for now, I wait.
