Now that the gardenias have finished blooming, I can get the rest of the trimming done today. But first, I took my usual walk around the yard to see what I could see.

The Thanksgiving Cactus has definitely reacted to being outside. I am seeing a bunch of new growth, which is great.

All is well with the Mood Ring Podocarpus.

The Red Fountain grass plants have grown and are producing a bunch of soft, fuzzy red plumes.

The same is true with the plants by the steps.

The transplanted Mexican Pony Tails feather grass looks good.

The Otto Luyken Cherry Laurel is finally happy ! After many years of guessing, I've finally found the right spot for it.

The single bloom on the Coronation Gold Yarrow is still in place.

I've got a few Gladioli blooming !

I've got a few flowers appearing in the cluster of Gladioli next to the dogwood tree.

Gladioli flowers look great. Now all I need to do is figure out how to keep them upright.

Wind and rain have a tendency bend these long-stem top-heavy flowers to the ground.

The Pink Muhly grass seems to be growing and, hopefully, will turn pink this fall.

Hopefully, everyone is happy with the additional room around the camellia cluster.

It's hard to see in the photo above. But the Vitex Shoal Creek is blooming.

All is still well with the backyard. I'm still not sure what I want to do with this area now that the rotted landscape timbers are gone.

Since the gardenia have finished blooming, I broke out the new hedge trimmer and gave the bushes in front of the house a much needed haircut.

Since I was in the neighborhood, I also trimmed some of the wild growth off of the Reeves Spireas. Maybe this will have a positive effect.
