I headed outside to check out more crape myrtle blooms today.

I don't know if it's the wind and rain, or the squirrels. But I keep finding broken Thanksgiving cactus branches on the ground. I may end up bringing it back inside if this keeps up.

I've got a lot of plumes on the Red Fountain grass plants.

The plant on the left is definitely taller than the one on the right. But both seem to be ok, and are producing fuzzy red plumes.

The Purple Magic crape myrtle continues to bloom.

The Plum Magic crape myrtle is also blooming. I only see a couple of blooms. But that's ok, I'll take it.

Today, I spotted a bloom on the Crimson Red crape myrtle. Like the Plum Magic, I don't think this has happened in a few years. This is wonderful !

The giant beside the garage is still blooming.

This tree was here long before me.

I've seen where crape myrtles can be cut way back to encourage blooming the following season. But I really like how tall this one is, and plan on leaving it alone.

Everything looks pretty good this year.
