After getting to enjoy the wonderful azalea blooms over the past few weeks, I noticed while taking my usual stroll around the yard that more flowers have joined the party. I also noticed that the Japanese Maple is beginning its transition to green.

The ornamental grass/daffodil area next to the garage seems to be doing well. I think keeping the daffodils here will work fine. I'm still gathering ideas for what to do in the corner.

I see a host of Chinese Snowball blooms !

I don't have as many this year. But what I have looks great.

Beautiful Chinese Snowball blooms.

A few flowers have appeared on the Reeves Spireas.

It seems like there should be more blooms. But that's ok.

The mystery bulbs keep growing, and will probably keep being a mystery.

The transplanted Mexican Pony Tails Feather grass plants are green and growing.

I should be seeing white blooms on the Husker Red Beardtongues very soon.

The Gladioli are growing and will (hopefully) bloom later this summer.

This is good to see !

It looks like the Yellow Flag Irises are starting to bloom, right on time.

I've got a few blooms appearing sporadically at the moment. But there should be a lot more of them appearing soon.

Still nothing from the Bridal Wreath Spirea yet. It's definitely alive, but doesn't seem to be in the best of health.

The driveway azaleas have mostly finished blooming for the season.

The white half of the first azalea cluster still looks good, as does the dark red of the second azalea.

But everything else has peaked for the season.

The relocated twig seems to be growing.

I think the backyard looks much better without the rotted railroad ties.

I've still not sure what to do with this area yet. But I'm working on it.

This looks strange.

The large dogwood tree in the front yard looks like it's been chewed on by something. All was well when I finished the annual mulch project two weeks ago. But now I have a mess of unknown origin.

The dogwood tree, itself, just finished blooming and has turned green for the summer. It looks like it's alive and doing well.

But something had definitely tried to make a meal out of the base of it recently.

I hope I don't lose this tree. I'll have to keep an eye on this.
