  • On the agenda for today was to do some initial prep work for the annual spring mulch project.  But first, I took my usual walk through the yard to see what I could see.  I still have a few daffodils blooming.

  • This is unusual.  I appear to have one confused snowball that is already trying to bloom several weeks ahead of schedule.

  • The difference this year is that, thanks to all of the divided/relocated iris bulbs from last summer, I'm going to have a MUCH LARGER area of red mulch.

  • All of the area previously occupied by grass by the camellia is now filled with irises.  So this entire area will be red.
