On the agenda today was to give the maple tree some company. But first, I took my usual stroll around the yard.

The flowering dogwood tree is still blooming, but also beginning its transition to green.

All is well at the mailbox. I see a few white blooms on the Bridal Wreath spirea.

I noticed a couple of bushes by the garage that are flowering in white.

I believe I am looking at some variety of Honeysuckle.

There are at least two of these near the brick wall at the back of the driveway.

The spotted laurels have grown substantially and are doing very well.

The indestructible nandinas are also doing well.

My razor wire garden by the neighboring fence in the backyard is still thriving.

I've made several attempts to thin the herd a bit. But there is still a lot of it in place.

It became obvious from day one that I have squirrels all over the yard. They did lots of holes, which is fine. I just wish they would cover everything up when they're done.

Yesterday while palm tree shopping at Lowe's, this flowering Cleveland Select Flowering pear tree caught my eye.

I planted the maple tree last year because I wanted to eventually have some more shade in the front yard. Today, I decided to add some color.

This means I have added some white to compliment the reds and pinks in the front yard.

Eventually, I should be able to look out my living room window and see some white flowers.
