October 1970: My addiction to the automobile started early. By age 4, I had already amassed quite a collection.

October 1970: Four year old Todd became a car nut early in life.

July 1984: Eighteen year old Todd is on top of the world behind the wheel of his first car, a 1965 Cadillac Deville convertible. I took my brother and a few friends for a short drive around the block. Truth be told, I couldn't go any further than around the block due to things like a coolant leak, bad brakes, and lots of electrical gremlins, (my window is up because it wouldn't go down). My first car was more "project" than actual transportation. But the convertible top worked which was all that mattered to me.

August 21, 1988: I took second place at the annual Supercar Showdown held every summer at Quaker City Dragway in Salem, Ohio, USA. My 1985 Oldsmobile 442 wasn't particularly fast, (it would only go 16.3s). But it was consistent which helped me snag second place in the "1976-Up Dial-In" class.

August 1, 1992: The annual Supercar Showdown held at Quaker City Dragway in Salem, Ohio, USA was the highlight of my summer each year. My ride this year was a 1986 Ford Mustang GT.

August 2, 1992: I'm headed from the staging lanes up the small hill to the burnout box and starting line at the 1992 Supercar Showdown at Quaker City Dragway in Salem, Ohio, USA. This car had the automatic transmission, but would still go mid-15s.

August 7, 1994: This year's Supercar Showdown was a good one for me. I took first place in the Factory Stock 1976 - up Dial-In class in my 1991 Camaro Z28 and went home with a trophy . . .

November 1, 1996: After years of 2-door, V-8 powered, rear wheel drive cars, I did an about face and went with a 1993 Ford Taurus SHO, a 4-door, V-6 powered, front driver. I was skeptical at first. But this car was wonderful in all aspects.

June 7, 2003: I purchased this 61k original mile 1996 Lincoln Mark VIII earlier that morning. After signing the paperwork, I stopped by my parents' house to show Mom & Dad my new ride. Mom was impressed. Three days later, this car would get its first "test" in the form of an 800 mile trip to Columbia, Missouri, USA.

February 16, 2004: I'm headed to work on a winter morning. I was a Service Technician at Joe Machens Ford in Columbia, Missouri, USA at the time.

January 27, 2008: I traded the Mark VIII in on this 1998 Jaguar XJ8-L three days prior, and headed to the Lake of the Ozarks area to enjoy a sunny but chilly winter day. This car would be the first of many expeditions into the world of Jaguar ownership.

March 30, 2010: After 2 years and 44k miles behind the wheel of my 1998 Jaguar XJ8-L, the time had come to trade it in. I traded the '98 for a 2004 Jaguar XJ8 at Hennessy Jaguar in Atlanta.

September 3, 2011: I'm on US Route 278 in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, USA. I had taken delivery of my new 1996 Jaguar XJS convertible and was enjoying a cruise around the island before heading back to Athens.

October 22, 2011: The new XJS looks at home next to its '04 XJ8 roommate in the garage.

November 16, 2011: I used the camera's self-timer to take a night selfie while at work.

April 29, 2012: I'm heading home to Athens after spending the weekend in central Pennsylvania that featured a nice visit with my brother and meeting an old friend at Spring Carlisle. This shot was taken on Interstate 81 South near Radford, Virginia, USA.

October 29, 2014: This is what you call "really getting into your work." Judging by the AC Delco box on my bench, I was probably replacing the ignition module on this early 1990s GMC C1500 pickup. With the distributor at the back of the engine, I needed a boost, and was glad to have a Topside Creeper available.

May 3, 2015: As seen in the reflection of my 2001 Jaguar XK8 convertible inside my garage.

August 1, 2015: A friend of mine was moving to Colorado to start her new job. I was preparing her 2005 Chevrolet Colorado for the 1,500 mile journey. Besides the normal maintenance, (oil change, tire rotation, multipoint inspection), I also replaced the front brake pads.

November 24, 2015: This was taken at the beach access point at the Days Inn, Jekyll Island, Georgia. It was dark outside when I took this shot, (about 9 PM). But the full moon gave the camera plenty of light to work with making the picture quite bright . . .
